Camp Olive is an unique experience for children ages two to nine years of age. Camp Olive starts on Monday, July 8, 2013 and lasts for three weeks, ending on Friday, July 26th.
Camp Olive’s theme is Keep Austin Explored!
We will explore a different location around Austin. The locations may include and not limited to, The Austin Nature and Science Center, Texas Natural Science Museum, Wild Basin, Crowe’s Nest Farm, Capital of Texas Zoo, New Braunfels Children’s Museum, bowling, Alamo Drafthouse Theater, The Art Garage.
The students will explore project ideas and celebrate the project by exploring the different locations. We will take a chartered bus to the location with Olive Tree staff. The bus is equipped with five-point harnesses for our younger students.
Adventure Girls, for Elementary school girls, ages 6-10, we will have a small group project field trips, which include learning how to ride the Metro bus, include arts/ crafts, and excursions. The topics will include empowerment, collaboration, and community. The Adventure Girls are supervised but allow for independent decision-making.
The enrollment fee will be applied to a camp shirt, transportation fees, and supplies. We can’t wait for our excursions!
