Free Parenting Workshop

at The Olive Tree Learning Center on 603 Bouldin Ave

Join us for an interactive session on working through meltdowns utilizing positive parenting techniques.

This workshop is geared towards parents who have highly sensitive children or children who have symptoms/ diagnosis of ADHD, Aspergers, ODD, Sensory Integration, Anxiety, etc. The workshop will provide tools to assist in supporting your family system in a positive and conscious way.

We’ll discuss many topics, including:

-Root cause of a meltdown, levels of a meltdown, and how to bounce back
-Family systems communication model and tools
-In the moment- public places and at home- working through the moment of a meltdown
-Siblings- is it fair? How to support sibling dynamics within the family
-Setting positive limits and boundaries
-Increasing flexibility and negotiation skills
-Respite and Recharge

Please bring: paper, pencil/ pen, drink or snack, and any questions.

Time frame: First 2 hours- present information, handouts, examples of tools and situations. Last hour is open for questions and answers. This class upholds confidentiality of the attendees and information.
